23 Days old & feeling good

I love love love hearing good news. With so much time spent focusing on bad news and things going wrong, it's a breath of fresh air!

The doctor is very happy with Chance's progression after surgery. He's doing better than he'd expected. Way to go buddy! The drain surgeon is giving it until next Wednesday before making a plan for surgery. Prayerfully now that his lungs are in better shape, his bowels will follow suit.

And... There was talk today about moving him off the ventilator and onto a cpap!! My little guy is pushing forward. Basically what that means is the amount of support he's needing from the vent is dwindling down to very minimal.

Feedings could start early next week to. He's getting his brain scan tomorrow to check for bleeding on the brain. He's getting his eye check (retina) next week. They actually can do laser surgery on young kids to correct retina damage. Not sure the exact age but wow! Modern medical technology is astounding.

I'm happy today! Please Lord, lets continue on this ride ;-)

  6. He's really doing well! If he's able to Cpap soon, that's amazing! Keep up the good work Mom & Dad.
Those who hope in The Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31. Our prayers continue for a clear scan.
