Psalm 30:2
O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.
God is so good. My heart is smiling ear to ear!
Chance was a champ during his upper GI!!!! As soon as he came back to his room the nurse said the doctor administering the GI said that from what he initially saw, it's 95% clear! They did one more X-ray around 10:30 to confirm that his intestines are 100% healed and ready for feeds. They gave him 2 ounces of solution which is a lot more fluids than he's every had in his little belly.
He gained another 50 grams overnight so he's 2 lb 13 oz. His heart rate his been elevated the last few days. He's not running a temp and seems happy enough. But, his hematocrit or just crit level is slightly low so he might need more blood/transfusion which'll make him feel better.
So, tonight they are weaning his vent settings to hopefully move to cpap tomorrow. Another X-ray of his stomach in the morning to make sure the contrast has mostly worked its way out. So feedings will hopefully start Friday.

It brings tears to my eyes everyday I check your blog to see how Chance is doing ....his progress is a true miracle and a testimony to the power of prayer ! He is just the cutest <3 Thanks so much for sharing ....love you and Happy New Year to the Cappelli family !
